Design is not a zero-sum game – so providing tenants with a beautiful space including all technical amenities doesn’t mean shortchanging the environment. Spiral is organically integrated into the architecture of the neighborhood – a healthy workspace that supports the productivity and creativity of the people who work in it. Integral to Spiral’s design are several environmentally-friendly solutions. Openable windows allow for reduced use of air conditioning. Rain and soil water are used to flush toilets and water the landscaped courtyards, collected by an innovative miniature lake in the courtyard. Solar energy is used to heat water in the building. Heat generated in the office areas is used for the parking areas.
